Having a beautiful smile can help you look and feel better about yourself. Whether you are dating, looking for a new job, or spending your days talking to people, your smile can tell those you meet a lot about you.  We are here to help. If you are looking for dramatic improvements, porcelain dental veneers might be the perfect solution for you.

Porcelain Veneers can be done in as little as 2 visits.  Dr. Tam will determine if you are a candidate for Porcelain Veneers.

What are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain Veneers are thin shells customized from porcelain which are bonded to your teeth.   Veneers are a comfortable way to improve the look of your front teeth.  Unlike tooth bonding, in which a resin facing is applied in one appointment to the surfaces of the tooth, veneers will not discolor or stain over time.

What do you need to do to have Porcelain Veneers?

We will work together to create the smile of your dreams. Dr. Allen Tam will provide guidance on smile designs that is in harmony with your facial structure, gender, and skin tone, so that your smile would not looks fake. Together, we will come up with a plan that complements your appearance.

Dr. Tam might recommend a nightguard to protect your veneers. Clenching and grinding your teeth can cause damage to porcelain restorations, and wearing a nightguard while you sleep can help prevent chipping them or breaking them off.

Veneers are strong, but just like your natural teeth; it is a good idea to avoid biting into certain foods that may cause damage. Caring for your veneers is easy. When you maintain your overall oral health, you extend the life of your veneers.

Regular dental exams and professional dental cleanings give us an opportunity to check up on your Porcelain Veneers and make sure that they are in good condition. It also allows us to help you prevent common problems such as dental decay and periodontal (gum) disease. Healthy gums are essential to the longevity of all of your dental work.
